Insignia were our care company from 2019-2021. They took over from a previous care provider who had failed us in many ways. To say they were an improvement is an understatement. They quickly added new team members to our package to ensure that shifts were fully staffed and cover was there for when our regular support workers weren’t available.  Things that he been ‘too difficult’ for our old company to accommodate were easily dealt with by Insignia to ensure that the care our son got (& respite we got) was much improved. 

The staff who worked with us were well trained and generally a good fit for us as a family. They had great support from Anna the Registered Nurse employed by Insignia. As our package grew during our time with them and they were able to add additional team members to cover the extra hours. 

I had a really good working relationship with our care manager Carys, and we worked together to find the best way to solve any logistical issues. 

Insignia is a company that cares and this shows at all levels. They go above and beyond for their clients and this made us feel like part of a family. The fact that they employ a family support consultant really helps as Debbie was able to offer advice and help facilitate things like getting carers access to Center Parcs to ensure our shifts could still take place even if we were away. She also helped to get us additional rubbish collections to assist with all the extra plastics and nappies we had to dispose of. 

We only had one real issue with staff (one staff member) whilst we were with them and this was handled really well and wasn’t anything that Insignia could have foreseen happening. The staff member was removed straight away and the shifts were covered as best they could. I felt comfortable bringing this issue up with Nicola as she was approachable and I knew she would take my concerns seriously. 

Sadly our son passed away in 2021 but Insignia have kept in touch with us and still support us even though we are no longer a client. They have helped us to keep our sons memory alive and have even named a training room after him at their offices… as I said they are a company who cares. 

We have used multiple companies since 2011 and we have found Insignia Healthcare the best company by far. Very friendly and caring staff make the difficulties of day to day life much easier. My 12 year old son absolutely adores everyone on the team. His health is the most stable since joining a team that not only does an amazing job clinically and to our specifications, but also they really put the CARE in carers!!
